Pregnancy Adventures.... And so much more!

Well, we've had an eventful and super busy month! I'll try to post pics with this looooong story to break up the monotony.

So, first of all, we went to Cheyenne Wyoming on April 30th for my big brother's 30th birthday. My Mom and Dad have a motor home so 7 of us piled in and set out for a 14 hour drive and a super fun weekend. It didn't quite turn out so fun. To spare you the gory details I'll just say that by Sunday(on our way home) we all had a nasty stomach flu which ended up putting me in the hospital with severe dehydration and pre-term contractions! They gave me 2 bags of IV fluids and some anti-nausea meds and sent me home with a Dr. appointment scheduled for the next day.

When I went to my 35 week appt. the next day, it was discovered that our sweet little boy was lying in a transverse position(sideways); head on the left and bum on the right! So they said they'd give him another week to turn and then talk about options to turn him if he didn't go head down.

36 week appt: Baby is still transverse, let's go to the hospital right now and try to turn him. He turned fairly easily although the process was quite uncomfortable for me! So, now we see what happens next week all the while hoping that he stays head down.

37 week appt: Baby is transverse again; head on the right and bum on the left this time! We did an ultrasound and the doctor said because of my "generous" amounts of amniotic fluid we could wait another week and see what he decides to do.

38 week appt: Baby boy is now completely breech! How he is moving around so much at this late stage of the game is quite baffling to the nurses and doctor but if we were to turn him and induce this week, we would have to have and amniocentesis first. I wasn't willing to take the risks associated with that so we waited again but were put on the schedule for induction on June 4th!

39 week appt: Baby boy is FINALLY head down and ready to go!!!!!!! Still on the schedule for induction TOMORROW MORNING! I can't wait to have our baby here!

On to other adventures - Kallie's appt with the ENT went well. The ENT said because she responded so well to the nasal spray that finally cleared out her ears, she probably has allergies and needed to be tested. So, we went to the allergy testing clinic and found out that she DOES NOT have allergies!! She is still a medical mystery and we're waiting to hear back from the doctor on what comes next! It's ALWAYS and adventure with Kallie Grace!

We also had to squeeze in a little time for some fun!

And the final adventure of the month - Abbie graduated from Kindergarten!!!! She was super cute and very excited as she always is. That girl is certainly full of enthusiasm and keeps us all smiling(most of the time)!
